Welsh Road Trips offer a tour at walking pace based on three luxury locations, all connected and accessible by public transport. We provide full details of the routes between our locations using the local bus and train services so you can visit Mid Wales without bringing a car. From arrival to departure this will be a special experience as you take in the beautiful countryside.

Mid Wales is a fantastic location for a walking holiday. As well as the well known paths and trails this area offers miles of quiet paths taking you into the heart of the countryside with its open spaces and friendly people. All our accommodation is in stunning locations with access to walking right from the doorstep. We have routes for all abilities and ambitions and can tailor your walking road trips to suit your requirements. We are on hand to enrich your trips with local knowledge.

Our six day walking trips are based on spending two nights at each of our accommodation locations and by combining the actual walking with the use of local buses and trains, which will provide a different perspective on the character of rural Wales. You can either travel light throughout your trip or we can arrange luggage transfer (at extra cost). Each location is fully equipped to provide luxury accommodation, and all have been awarded ‘Walkers Welcome’ status so you can be certain you will be wanting for nothing after a day exploring the hills and valleys of Mid Wales.

You can reach our three locations Lasswade Country House, The Old Vicarage Dolfor and Westview Guesthouse by public transport, but if you prefer to arrive by car that’s fine as it will be safely parked until collection at the end of the road trip when an extra night can be arranged if required.
